Your role - Are you ready for a challenge?

The Legal Counsel will provide legal advice to the Belgian market. This role requires to be fluent in Dutch and English and legal and regulatory Knowledge of the Belgium market.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a broad range of legal matters that may arise;
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents relating to the insurance contracts and partners;
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal matters and mitigate risks;
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the insurance sector;
• Handle complaints, legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsels;
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Your profile - Have you got what it takes to become our Job Title?

• You have a Belgian Master's degree in Law and have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the legal sector;
• You have Knowledge of the Belgium/ Luxembourg legal and regulatory environment;
• You have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint);
• You have good communication skills (written and oral) in both English and Dutch. Additional languages are a plus;
• You have good analytical and issue-solving skills;
• You have a proactive approach and business acumen;
• You are able to work effectively under pressure;
• You are a team player, who enjoys sharing knowledge and working together with the other in-house lawyers and the business colleagues in a multicultural environment.
