Part-time Recipe Editor - Dutch Speaking (w/m/d)

Our renowned chefs create inspiring and mouth-watering recipes every week, our customers select what they would like to cook, and we deliver the recipes with all the ingredients they need. The Culinary Team is responsible for recipe & menu creation based on our customers' requirements and preferences. The recipes are the heart of Marley Spoon and are carefully developed, tested, photographed, edited and translated in-house by our team.
We are now looking for a part-time, experienced, native-level Dutch speaking Recipe Editor to support the growth of our Marley Spoon and Dinnerly meal box brands in the Netherlands and Belgium and who is based in either Germany or Portugal.
The position will report to the Managing Recipe Editor NL and can be hybrid (remote + office) or fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Translating recipes from German and English into Dutch;
- Building recipes and recipe cards each week using our backend system;
- Managing all recipe-related information in our backend system for the Dutch market;
- Editing and proofreading all recipes according to defined recipe style and contribute to the further development of the style guide;
- Writing and editing various copy for the Culinary team;
- Supporting the Culinary team in various recipe-related topics where needed.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a university degree in literature, journalism or similar, or other proof of qualification;
- Professional working experience with editing (recipe editing experience is a plus);
- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail;
- Native level speaker in Dutch is a must;
- Proficient in German and English;
- You like to take initiative and enjoy a sense of ownership;
- You are a team player and have good communication skills;
- Enthusiasm for food, recipes and food trends;
- Able to work independently and as a tightly integrated member of the Culinary team, in a fast-paced production environment;
- You demonstrate effective time management skills in the midst of shifting priorities.
