Job Description:

We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Editor-in-Chief for one of our leading crypto websites in the Dutch market.

In this role, you will be collaborating with the COO directly to establish and maintain consistent tone across all content, as well as lead and manage the content team.

Responsibilities:

• Content oversight: lead, manage, schedule and review the daily production of, on average, 30-40 articles including news articles, explainers, terms and commercial evergreens.

• Final edits before publishing:

1. SEO (internal linking, focus keywords, on-page elements)
2. Visuals (correct images, embeds, article overview)
3. Scheduling (a good mix of article subjects)
4. Labeling (make sure articles get the according labels)

• Editorial Leadership: establish and maintain a consistent editorial voice and tone across all content. Ensure all content aligns with our brand and meets quality standards.

• Team co-management: supervise and mentor a team of writers and editors together with the content manager. Provide feedback, support, and direction to ensure content is informative, engaging, and accurate.

• Content strategy: collaborate with the content manager and the editorial team to plan content calendars, trends, and topics relevant to the crypto community.

• Content review and approval: review and approve all outgoing content before it is published, ensuring it meets editorial guidelines, factual accuracy, and industry standards.

• Quality control: ensure editorial integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all written and multimedia content, adhering to a fast-paced publishing schedule.

• Adaptation to industry trends: stay on top of the latest news, trends, and developments in the cryptocurrency industry to guide editorial focus and keep the site relevant and informative.

• Continuous improvement: identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, team development, and content enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an editor-in-chief, managing editor, or similar role in a fast-paced, content-driven environment, preferably in crypto.
• Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency industry, trends, and terminology.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a high-volume setting.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team of writers and editors effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with various stakeholders.
• Skilled with SEO, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools.
• Experience with content management in Monday.com
• Proficient written and spoken Dutch and English
