Infrastructure and Energy Capital invests Macquarie's balance sheet to provide flexible capital in the infrastructure and energy space, with a broad mandate to invest in assets and companies across Economic & Social (e.g. public-private partnerships or private projects), Digital & Data (e.g. fibre & data centres) and Energy Transition (e.g. batteries, renewables, power, EV charging, gas) infrastructure sectors. The team is looking for high calibre interns from a range of disciplines who possess a strong interest in financial services, knowledge of current market activity and the desire to work on challenging projects to join the team for 6 months from April 2026.

What role will you play? Based in London, you will predominantly support the Benelux business, and experience first-hand how we invest and support our partners realise opportunity as part of our Macquarie Capital team. You will sit side by side experienced colleagues who will support you as you learn and build new skills, whilst completing key tasks including assisting in analysing potential investments opportunities, financial modelling, approval papers, internal and external presentations, market analysis, value creation on existing investments and due diligence support. In addition, you will assist in the origination of new potential transactions (information research, targets identification, etc) covering the energy transition and infrastructure sectors, and subject to deal flow, you will also have the opportunity assist the team in the execution of live transactions (acquisition and / or divestments of assets).
What you offer - You are a motivated student in the final year or penultimate year of university, or a recent graduate.
- Intellectual curiosity and aptitude for problem solving and numerical analysis, with a thorough grasp of financial concepts.
- A keen interest in learning about and working on live projects with a focus on energy transition or digital infrastructure.
- Fluent language skills in both Dutch and English are a requirement.
