YOUR TASKS:

• You are part of the Claims Team and you will independently manage your own claims portfolio, consisting of claims of appropriate complexity, taking responsibility for the processing of claims from initial notification to settlement.
• You clarify the underlying facts, conduct negotiations with claimants and attorneys in claim cases, and cooperate with our brokers.
• You provide feedback to underwriting and exchange information regarding frequency claims and claim clusters.
• You are the first telephone contact for our customers in the event of a claim.
• You answer the questions of our brokers and end customers as far as possible on the phone and provide them with initial information on how to handle the claim.
• You may coordinate customer inquiries in close collaboration with other departments.
• As part of your role and to the extent that it is needed, you are monitoring closely the claims mailbox and process the incoming correspondences in a timely manner as well as entering claims information in an accurate, timely and efficient manner as per Hiscox standards.
• When needed you are responsible for the opening of new claims files in the system.
• You prepare the payment of claims and providers' invoices in the system and cooperate with the senior claims underwriters in handling tasks in more complex claims.
• You support and participate in the adaptation and improvement of processes and procedures.

YOUR PROFILE:

• You work independently, precisely and in a service and solution-oriented manner.
• You have good communication skills when dealing with sales partners and customers.
• Your knowledge of spoken and written Dutch and French is very good and your knowledge of English is good.
• You have excellent organizational skills to enable you to keep track of priorities and a get it done attitude.
• You have good interpersonal skills.
• You pay attention to detail and quality to produce high quality output
• You have a good PC knowledge of common office programs (e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook).
• You are resilient, flexible, a team player, responsible and quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks.
