DescriptionJoining the Dutch & Belgian advisory team in our Berlin office, you will contribute to the firm by developing rigorous analysis and delivering insights that enhance clients' decision-making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into impactful recommendations.
Aurora has a strong and growing presence in the Dutch and Belgian energy markets, where we work with virtually all major energy companies, investors, and policy stakeholders. We have supported clients across a wide range of strategic and policy engagements, including M&A transactions, market entry assessments, investment strategies, and regulatory studies. You will be contributing directly to this work and shaping the energy transition in two of Europe's most dynamic power markets.
Berlin serves as a hub for Aurora's work across Europe, offering exciting opportunities to work on international projects while focusing on clients in the Netherlands and Belgium.
This position is primarily aimed at candidates with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, though we also welcome applications from exceptional recent graduates.

Key Responsibilities- Develop robust, data-driven analyses to inform strategic client decision.
- Work closely with our modelling team to frame and solve quantitative energy problems
- Contribute to the continued development of Aurora's Dutch and Belgian offerings, including new products and capabilities
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and co-develop tailored project scope.
- Present insights and recommendations to clients clearly and persuasively
- Help expand Aurora's reputation in the region through high-quality advisory work
What we are looking forRequired Attributes:- A university degree in either:
- a quantitative subject (e.g., economics, engineering, physics, mathematics), combined with a strong interest in policy
- or a social science, environmental studies, or related field, with demonstrated analytical skills
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in consulting, energy, policy, finance or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data
- Evidence of success in collaborative, team-oriented environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated interest in the energy transition and market dynamics
- Full professional fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to be based in Berlin
Desirable attributes:- Professional proficiency in French (an asset for work in Belgium)
- Prior experience in the Dutch or Belgian energy sector (e.g., internships, employment, academic research)
- Familiarity with energy modelling tools or market analysis methods
- Exposure to regulatory, market design, or policy topics in the Benelux region
