Transcreation and Technical Translation Specialist - Dutch Speaker (1 year fixed term contractor)

What you'll do:

TTC team (Translation, Transcreation Team) part of the the Global Content Operation Center of Excellence, provides high-quality translation services to internal stakeholders including Segment Marketing, Divisional teams, Web team, and local teams. The transcreation and technical translation specialist will translate marketing content and technical product data for the Eaton.com website and related technical documentation.
The translation team ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards. Each translator will ensure adherence to Eaton's brand standards for style and tone and manage the Eaton terminology base for their assigned language.

• Provide highest quality translation, transcreation, subtitling and copywriting support to Eaton's colleagues in the core languages - EN, DE, ES, IT, FR, NL, PL, RO. Transcreation will be delivered from EN (United States) as source language. Transcreation and copywriting work will include (but not exclusively) writing of brochures, emails, website copy, audio and video copy, technical product data.
• Be a point of reference for internal stakeholders supporting them in the use of the translation platform Globallink
• Delivery of transcreation and copywriting projects following internal workflow processes and using business platforms that exceed internal stakeholder expectations.
• Working directly with internal stakeholders to deliver transcreation and copywriting projects. Implement changes made by content reviewers taking care of choerence and style.
• Develop, improve and maintain the Eaton's terminology resources in the language of competence
• Mantain and improve the existing translation memories, create new translation memories for technical attributes.
• Ensure the implmentation of SEO keywords in marketing material
• Collaborate with the translation marketing team leader, project managers and central teams to organize the workload and the translation requests of the internal clients.
• Act as brand guardian being responsible for maintenance and improvement of Eaton's style guide in the target language in collaboration with local country teams and central marketing functions.
• Execute random Data Quality spot checks for published web sites to search pro-actively for improvement areas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BSC/BA), technical degree is a plus
• 1-2 years experience in translation or transcreation

Skills:

• English AND Dutch language knowledge minimum C1 level
• Good understanding of electrical products and applications to support the translation of the technical content from English.CAT tools: Globallink / Wordfast preferred or other, experience with terminology management tools, theory of translation
• Attention to detail, reliable, ability to be self-directed, customer focused, team player, excellent organisation skills, excellent writing and communication skills
