Responsibilities
- Translate product descriptions, website content, promotional materials, and other documents from German into Spanish, French, Dutch, and English.
- Ensure that translations accurately convey the original meaning while maintaining the appropriate tone and style for each target language.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of translated content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of translated materials and alignment with project deadlines.
- Collaborate with Localization Managers to identify and address any linguistic or cultural considerations in the translation process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and language developments to continuously improve translation quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Fluency in German and native-level proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Spanish, French, Dutch, or English.
- Proven experience as a translator, preferably in a digital or ecommerce environment.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce terminology and concepts.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both the source and target languages.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in translation tools and software is a plus.
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with SEO and keyword optimization is a bonus.
